It is hard to imagine that less than 150 years ago the triangle of grass we know as Shepherd's Bush Green was open space, surrounded by a few cottages, farm land and nursery gardens, and that Askew Road was just a muddy track following the curving course of Stamford Brook as it flowed to the Thames. Although now largely built up there are still signs of this bygone age; where drovers once brought their livestock, people now picnic and modern attractions such as the massive Westfield bring in shoppers from far and wide. Join local photographer Andrew Wilson as he explores the area, showing it off at its very best, and illustrating why this area is such a desirable place to live and work.
